Summer Reading List

I love to read and I love to hear what other people are reading too. I'll be honest, sometimes I will get really excited about a book if I see a bunch of hype about it and then I'll go out and buy it, start it and then never finish it because it doesn't live up to the hype, orrrr because I get excited about the next book I see. I might have "squirrel" syndrom. Anyone else?

But all of the books below, I have finished, or am close to finishing. High five to me! But honestly I've just truly enjoyed reading them and think you will too!

Truly this will go down as one I always recommend to any and every woman. It is so good. I got so much out of it that I wanted to read back through it again and share it with other women. So I am hosting a womens bible study on it this summer.

Get it and then get your highlighters ready cause there will be so many times you're like "YES I NEED TO ENGRAVE THAT ON MY HEART FOREVER AND EVER."

This is one of my favorite devotionals. I have read through it twice before over the last few years and am currently going through it again. It is always relevant no matter how many times I've read it. If you are looking for a good devotional I recommend this one, by far.

I am loving reading these as I read through my Bible. These devotionals take you through 3 chapters of the bible a day, leading you to reading through the whole Bible in a year.

While we are on the subject of studying the Bible, I just got this Study Bible from Brandon for Mothers Day and I love it. Also I love these highlighters for highlighting through my Bible. Can you tell I basically love everything from this shop? Don't get me started on her notebooks, I have a couple of those too.

I'm about half way through this one and so far it's fascinating. It talks a lot about vulnerability and authenticity, which I'm really loving learning about especially in regards to leadership.

This is one I am reading with my girls and we LOVE it!! I can not recommend it enough for you to read with your kids. We started it toward the end of the school year because Bella's teacher read it with her 2nd grade class. Bella loved it so much she checked it out at the library and then we started reading it together, got hooked, had to return it to the library and then bought it on amazon. It is one of those you just want in your home library. I already loved everything about this book and THEN I found out that they made a movie out of it that will be in theaters around Thanksgiving AND my favorite actress, Julia Roberts, is playing the mom.

PEOPLE, this is way too exciting. I can not wait to take the kids to see the movie and I only hope it lives up to the book.

The girls and I are also reading through the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder and we love it! We unknowinlgy started on book 3 so I ordered the series (there are 9 total) and we started back on book 1. I read a couple of chapters to them each night before bed. It's become something we all look forward to.
